      Warning - Terrible company with terrible management - Senior Software Engineer VML Technology Employee Review

      Pros

      There are some really wonderful design folks to work with but no other pros for working in this company and product.

      Cons

      They don't pay employees on time. Salaries are delayed almost every month. Sometimes they won't pay us for 3 or 4 months in a row. There was never a clear explanation from the management. If you are asked to join this company, please run away as far as you can. This is not a proper company. I wish I could rate them zero stars. There are some wonderful people working here but the overall management is absolutely terrible and have zero care for employees. Stay away from VML. This is not a warning but a personal experience.

      Great team with solid internal communication and work against the bleeding edge of the latest technology within the Shopify ecosystem.

      Pros

      learning opportunities (individual and it's mostly up to you) ok pay relatively flexible work model

      Cons

      management is not always concerned with your growth, not always available for their team or involved in 1-to-1s. sometimes there is no room for growth/not enough positions available to grow autonomy(which is a positive) but sometimes it feels like you have to find your own work/projects/clients since management is busy with other things
