Pros

-The tech budget is a nice-to-have -Most of my direct peers were great and I loved working with them -Learned a lot from my team lead

Cons

I worked here after my original employer was acquired by Vision33 and I wish I had left the moment the takeover was announced. During the changeover they tried to strongarm me into multiple agreements to continue my employment with clauses that are illegal in the UK, they refused to carry out a salary review despite promising me a raise after working on junior wages for 2 years, continuously belittled me at every turn (HR & the management team) and tried to appropriate my personal office equipment. Despite this abysmal first impression it got worse: every single minute of the day needs to be accounted for in your timesheet and you’re told off if it’s not billable (even though it’s 100% up to management whether you’re even put on a project or not) or if you don’t have 8 hours in there, meaning you HAVE to work overtime to try and fill up your timesheet each day. The workload is completely unreasonable when you do get assigned to projects, and (while I worked there) there was an unfortunate trend of pre-existing staff shirking duties then either taking credit for a job well done or letting the blame fall to someone else if it goes badly. There’s absolutely no accountability and management play favourites, to the point where if you’re not popular you’re on the chopping block. Overtime and unreasonable hours are also expected of you if you worked on overseas projects, where I would routinely have meetings until 7pm in the evening because management doesn’t care that you have a life outside work – you don’t while you work for Vision33. Management were also extremely patronising and preach a ‘personal touch’ but encourage cutthroat attitudes towards customers, and certainly treat staff with contempt and distrust. If I’m being kind the culture is non-existent, if I’m being honest the culture is so toxic that it wasn’t uncommon to bond with colleagues over crying before work and dreading the next day or week. Management have zero respect for staff, barrelling all over personal and professional boundaries and making you question your sanity: my personal experience was that I was leading projects, helping the wider team and was generally regarded as hard-working and a good consultant, yet was constantly called ‘the junior consultant’ (not to customers of course, I was always billed out at the full rate) and repeatedly told I have ‘no skills of note’ or that my ‘skillset is not one of SAP support let alone of a consultant’. After trying my best to deal with all of this I was let go along with ¾ of a large consulting team, 2 months after we had all signed contracts reducing our 3 month notice period to 1 month, where the mercenary tactics continued to the point where I had to engage with a lawyer. I would strongly recommend avoiding this company altogether, it is by far the worst employment experience I have ever had.

It’s unfortunate you feel your experience at Vision33 was negative. Our employment agreements and practices are professional, legal, and transparent. We certainly have a strong culture of employee recognition and rewards, work-life balance, and management support that is reflected in our culture and employee successes. Pros

Vision33 offers a very collaborative atmosphere where expertise is valued. As a Delivery Manager, I appreciate the structured methodologies and the caliber of the ERP projects we handle. The leadership team is approachable, and there are genuine opportunities for career advancement if you show initiative. Friendly atmosphere, transparency all around, a great place to be in!

Cons

The workload can be quite heavy during peak project delivery phases, which sometimes impacts work-life balance, which is part of the IT industry and fine.
