Pros

Get to sink your teeth into a wide array of IT skills

Cons

Unstructured workplace with unclear expectations that seem to vary from person to person. They've gotten better about setting written expectations but some individuals are held strictly to the written expectations whereas others are given much more flexibility to bend the rules.

Pros

Coworkers are super nice, always joking and having fun You will know what to expect, day in and day out. Things rarely change. Very basic skillset required. It's a good place to get started in IT. Decent medical insurance. No set time off*

Cons

*No set time off - You may not have a set amount of PTO but the first day you take off people notice and talk. No flexibility in schedule- butt in a chair at 8am sharp. You will likely stay at least 15 minutes late every day, sometimes an hour or more. ZERO work from home policy, unless there is a winter storm. No reviews, no raises, no bonuses, no promotions, no recognition in any way. You will receive a small stipend the week you are on call. The abuse from the clients is in no way mitigated, and you will be expected to take the brunt of it. Abusive clients are rarely fired, instead are coddled. You will need a thick skin for this job.
