Pros

Work from home. You get to see video game characters from unreleased titles.

Cons

Management is fragmented and doesn't communicate well. CEO is absent, and when you hear from him, he writes incredibly aggressive and angry emails full of swears. The managers have no management training. They expect you to return emails at midnight on a weekend. No upward mobility.

Pros

Great core team, great work product, cool sector, interesting research, fun working environment, remote-friendly, met amazing friends and family on the job, learned a ton.

Cons

Hours can be long and sporadic, work can be challenging (not always in a positive developmental opportunity kind of a way), staffing can be very difficult in today's work-life climate, competition is everywhere and growing every year, while the industry we serve is consolidating and can become more and more difficult to expand within.

Pros

-Work from home and see video game info ahead of time -Some times work is really slow and you get to work at your own pace

Cons

-You are seen as unprofessional or unresponsive for trying to set basic work/life boundaries (e.g., not answering work emails after 8 p.m. on a Saturday). -Some employees are expected to follow their managers' sleep schedules, while the reverse is not true (e.g., if your manager is working on something until 1 a.m., you are expected to stay up and await their instructions unless told that you can go to sleep). -Management seems completely out of touch with standard work/life balances and view working "only" 50 hours a week as a good sign instead of a red flag. -The higher ups will openly insult employees behind their backs but in front of their teammates, which can be very uncomfortable. -It seems like the company is always on the verge of going out of business, as the founder is constantly trying to win new projects even when teams express they feel overworked. -No opportunities for growth and development.
