Pros

Nothing comes to my mind

Cons

1. VFS has been operating like a privately run MAFIA group since several years as most of the regional heads and management staff behave like goons and bullies. 2. The company advocates a work culture plagued by favoritism and politics based on gender, caste, colour and race. 3. It is good workplace only for the corporate and higher management levels and is one of the worst companies to work for at the junior level and frontline staff. 4. Most of the regional heads and senior management staff think of themselves as Lord Falklands having highly inflated ego’s and a false sense of pride. In reality, they are good for nothing. All they seem to be doing is warming their buttocks in their plush cabins looking at reports, email and farting away to glory. They are highly paid for very little work and it sometimes feels like they are enjoying charity income from VFS. 5. These senior leaders are also highly abusive and discriminatory and also exploiting some women staff in their teams for sexual favours in return for job security and promotions. 6. It is quite difficult for an honest and hardworking person to survive and grow in this organisation without the blessings of an important figure. Also since most of the regional heads and senior leaders are unwilling to relinquish their positions, it is also difficult for the middle level managers to grow in the organisation. 7. In contrast, most of the work involved in directly processing visa applications is done by the frontline staff at the visa centres who represent a major portion of the company's workforce. The company has been built on the blood and sweat of the operations staff. However, these employees are on third party payroll, they are paid very low salaries, not provided any benefits and also not treated fairly. 9. The company prefers to pamper its large team of corporate employees at various levels and support functions who seem to be doing nothing worthwhile. 10. Overall, there is a trust deficit and lack of transparency in the functioning of the organisation.

Pros

the team are well versed with the work undertaken.

Cons

if you cannot speak hindi then you will not excel in this company, the company has hired south Asians only, most of the higher managers are on H1B visas, very much toxic work environment where the managers are expected to work on weekends and holidays.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. At VFS Global, we take all concerns regarding workplace inclusivity, culture, and communication standards extremely seriously. Our operations in the United States are powered by a diverse workforce of over 350 individuals representing various ethnicities and countries including the United States. This diverse talent pool allows us to successfully mirror and support the global diplomatic missions we serve. To provide context, a significant portion of our operations in the US supports the Government of India’s diplomatic missions. To meet the explicit consular service expectations of these sovereign clients and effectively assist the public they serve, proficiency in regional Indian languages is a critical operational requirement for specific roles. That being said, English remains our official language for all internal communications, corporate operations, and recruitment practices, including our hiring process, which is strictly merit-based. Further, we remain committed to operating in strict alignment with US labour laws and employee schedules are structured accordingly. While the nature of international diplomatic support may require occasional extended rostering to meet critical public demands, these schedules are carefully managed and planned in advance to ensure fair shift distribution. We encourage you to share specific concerns, if any, with us on Communications@vfsglobal.com.
