I had worked in VFS KOLKATA for a very long time and the only thing I noticed is politics and back stabbing. Managers show their favouritism and biasness openly. There is no scope for career growth since managers only concentrate on helping their favorite employees while ignoring the efficient and hard working employees. The only way to survive in this company is to be in the good book of the manager not by work performance but by oiling and buttering. There are 2 HR however they hardly help employees. The main job of HR is to listen and solve the grievances of employees without biasness however the HRs here are mere puppets of the managers always agreeing to managers irrespective of any grievances brought by employees. The company policy that I have always known is that spouses cannot work in the same VAC and have seen many spouses/couples transferred to seperate VACs after marriage however in VFS the policy have been easily moulded because the concerned persons had high preference with the manager and were favourites of the manager. This is the Level of partiality done in the office. Lastly VFS is considered to be second home by employees however in this pandemic situation the company terminated so many employees including some very senior staffs knowing very well how difficult it is to get employment in this situation.
