Pros

Reasonable pay and benefits for the Redding, California area. Employees other than management are great to work with.

Cons

Environmental department management behaves unprofessionally on a daily basis- demeaning employees and their work, making racially biased statements and expecting employees to go along with them, and insulting state and federal regulators with profanities in meetings and over the phone. Human Resource department is aware of these behaviors and hostile workplace law, yet does not take them seriously and takes no action to correct them. To mirror what others have said here in their reviews- it is shocking the company has not been caught in a hostile workplace lawsuit...yet. "Pet friendly" work environment means the boss will bring dirty, sick animals to work on a regular basis. If hired, I would not recommend bringing your pet to work here.

Pros

Some of the people are really nice and wonderful to be around. The front desk receptionist is lovely.

Cons

Management is clueless on how to run a team effectively, and always blame the lower level employees with projects fail. The CEO is a bully, yells at people. uses extremely unprofessional language, degrades people, and threatens to terminate employment whenever something doesn't go his way. Moral is always low, people are constantly frustrated, and just try to keep their heads down to avoid being bullied. Their business practices are outdated, old school and no longer relevant. They provide little to no direction, assistance or clarification on project specifics, so the majority of the time you are working in the dark. Upon hiring, they may promise training and education, but it rarely happens.
