Pros
I like the learning curves that I went through. Top management knows how to build their structures and knowledge bases.
Cons
Middle management is full of politics and incompetence. A lot of CSMs, specifically in Forge teams, feel threatened with team members who are really good with what they are doing. I even remember a team member who was really intelligent and responsible with her tasks but the CSMs ganged up on her, forcing her to resign due to the toxic environment. Such a petty move from people who hold leadership roles. They would always raise this "I have been serving this company for many years already" instead of improving themselves. I heard most of these CSMs don't have formal degrees and certifications related to Financial Planning and Accounting. That is why team members cannot rely them for concrete help related to the tasks asked by the clients. So much for "people-centered culture" when the leaders aren't exhibiting what it truly means to be people-centered.
