Pros

None. The best thing I did was leave the company.

Cons

If your looking at Utilitra as a potential place to work, I HIGHLY recommend you don't. The reviews speak for themselves. Notice how all of the reviews consistently state the same issues, even after the "toxic" people left. The management here is the worst I have ever seen. They don't respect you or treat you as though you are a living, breathing human being trying to make a living. Anyone and everyone in a manager or leadership role is somehow or someway related to or friends of the Fowlers (aka the owners), regardless of what previous experience or education they have (or lack thereof). Managers have no idea what they're doing or how there department runs, all they do is bark orders to their staff because they make six figs and don't think they should have to lift a finger. So when something goes wrong, they blame the guy at the bottom of the totem pole even though they don't provide adequate training or structure. Don't expect to be paid fairly either, you'll work the job of three people and you will still get paid next to nothing. For example, your "Christmas bonus" will be ~$100. What's disgusting is the owners think this is generous. And before you say I should be grateful to even get a bonus, it's hard to be grateful when you see the owners pulling up in different personally owned cars each day. One day they arrive in their brand new Suburban and the next it's their couple month old Tesla . Also, don't expect any promotions. Managers don't want to risk their positions being taken from them by someone more qualified or better fit, so they will never promote you. With so many people in positions they have no business being in, nothing is being done right. As a result, more and more work piles up as you will be left to clean up the mess. Even if you put in 60 hours a week here, you will get reprimanded for every little mistake you make. 2 minutes late? That's a write up. Customer issued a change order on a job and no one notified you? That's another write up. Manager told you how to do a process but the way they told you was incorrect? Consider yourself unemployed. No matter how hard you work or how many extra hours you put in, it will never be enough. Also, don't fall for there false promises. They will say whatever you want to hear so you will stay with them, but they will NEVER fulfill those promises. Communication here is also so terrible, it's basically nonexistent. This all ties back to toxic management. Because they are family owned, the leadership roles will never change therefore, the level of toxicity will never change. Trust me, save your time and energy and let that ship sink on it's own.
