Pros

The firm is capable of doing great work and there are passionate and smart people working there, or at least were working there. The office is cool and in a great location.

Cons

Ownership has multiple business and lots of distractions. It felt at time like most of the work was in service to the owners other business interests. There is no standard or commonly shared process for how work get done, internal tools are not standardized, leadership was inconsistent, often distracted and problems often remedied by late inning owner drop-ins (fixes) that were hard on moral and disruptive. I could have been better myself but I felt the climate of fear of screwing up, anxiety around asking questions and lack of trust kept me off my game.

Pros

Lots of responsibility given right away, you’re a real employee and member of the team, not just a coffee girl! Lots of room for creative exploration, strong guidance and feedback from mentors, great exposure to real industry clients and professionals.

Cons

Honestly I can say there are real cons, it all depends on your personality and how you work best. It is a small team, and that was great for me, but if you’re more interested in a traditional type office setting, it might not be for you. I personally loved getting to know everyone so well and being able to talk so much with all of my mentors.
