Pros

Uphold has a very talented and collaborative team, and the company moves quickly in a way that keeps work interesting. There is real exposure to innovation, and people often have the chance to learn across different parts of the business. I also appreciated the mission-driven environment and the opportunity to work on products with real impact.

Cons

Like many fast-growing companies, cross-team communication could be improved, and processes are sometimes not as mature as they could be. Depending on the team, the employee experience can vary quite a bit.

Pros

Friendly and welcoming team that makes you feel comfortable from day one. Supportive colleagues who are always willing to help. Fast-paced environment with plenty of opportunities to learn. Strong culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Cons

The onboarding process could be more structured, with a clearer roadmap and timeline. More involvement from HR during onboarding, particularly regarding benefits and company policies, would help employees get up to speed faster. Some information is spread across different resources, which can make it challenging to find everything needed during the first few weeks.

Pros

Free Lunch Nice office Unlimited sick days and PTO

Cons

I worked in the FIU team and unfortunately had a very negative experience with the workplace culture. While the role itself had learning opportunities, the behavior of certain senior staff members was deeply disappointing. During the company Christmas party, the MRLO and other staff members openly mocked me in front of colleagues. What should have been a team-building and celebratory event turned into an uncomfortable and humiliating experience. There was a clear lack of professionalism and basic respect. A healthy workplace depends on leadership setting the tone. When senior team members engage in this kind of behavior, it creates an environment where employees feel unsupported and undervalued. It significantly impacted my morale and overall perception of the company. I would strongly encourage leadership to reflect on how workplace culture is being shaped, particularly within FIU, and ensure that all employees are treated with dignity and respect.
