Pros

The fully remote work environment coupled with a flexible schedule and a high level of autonomy have made this a pretty decent place to work overall. Benefits could be better but they're not terrible. Coworkers are generally polite and intelligent.

Cons

UD was great when crypto and the economy were booming, however the way they're handling a rough market - and during rough times is when leadership matters most; it's easy to "lead" during good times - shows they don't care about their employees. There were 5+ rounds of layoffs (despite the first round being sold as "a big layoff now so we don't do anymore later", a statement that leadership subsequently took no accountability for when it turned out not to be true) and the company halved in size in less than six months. At this point people live in fear of waking up to yet another round of layoffs no matter what leadership says and morale is extremely low. It's understandable that layoffs happen in a rough market, but leadership just doesn't seem to care at all about the people laid off or the effect on company morale of almost half a dozen rounds of layoffs in as many months. Instead they keep rambling on about "digital identity" and acting impatient with questions about the RIFs. It really doesn't inspire my confidence that the company will actually be able to navigate this market effectively. They're acting from a place of panic and callous disregard for people, not from a place of calm, thoughtful decision making.

Pros

During my time with Unstoppable Domains I worked with incredibly creative and talented individuals from various backgrounds (corporate, startups, entry level, etc). In addition to a diverse, global team, I think the breadth experience was key to our success. Benefits were quite generous when I started with the company.

Cons

Part of onboarding is rating the company on glassdoor. After my experience being laid off with nearly the entire marketing department, I felt as though the company had not been transparent about runway and spending. Towards the end, there was a palpable urgency in each assignment which did not contribute to a positive work environment.
