Valet Parking/Runner - Valet Attendant Universal Studios Employee Review

Pros

Most everyone is enthusiastic hard working and easy to get along with. Especially if you need to make a shift change for any reason, school, dr. appt., etc. You get credits and free admissions to the park that accumulate with your employment.

Cons

As a Seasonal employee, as most are, shifts can range at all hours and then change when you get there. You receive no benefits other than some free tickets to get into the park to spend your money. Employees are normally not allowed to get 8 hours in a day unless they are short-handed, which makes it very exhausting and hectic. Also I was scheduled for a 4am shift, drove the 45 minutes thru toll roads ($16 it cost me in gas and tolls) to get there and was told they didn't need me.

Pros

Free park access if that’s what you or your family like to do regularly.

Cons

Very large and slow moving organization that has an odd promotion/performance review process. This is a place where people come to work 9-5, take hour lunches, and place the corporate process of staying 10+ years hoping for a promotion opportunity and not work hard.
