      Pros

      There is a lot of opportunity for growth within the company. It has also been around for 150 years so you know it's going to be around for awhile.

      Cons

      The hours that you work at long and very hard, especially when you start out. Plan on working 60+ hrs if you work in operations.

      Pros

      Good pay and benefits. Work is challenging.

      Cons

      Weak lower and middle management - they only care about their own careers. Poor morale. UP went down hill after Jim Young passed away.
