Pros
Felt like leaving when I first come in but after a while, the friendliness of my colleagues and the "kampong" lifestyle of doing things plus the slow and steady pace of production made me decide to stay long. Not sure if you can find this kind of vibe elsewhere.
Salary to work ratio is pretty reasonable. A fresh ITE/Poly grad is guaranteed minimum $3000 for just working an average of 15 days a month when on shift. And yes, they welcome fresh graduates to come and work for Unimatec.
Cons
Some of the most obvious cons would be the lack of career progression in the company because it is based almost entirely on seniority. You can be working at Unimatec for 20 years but as long as the guy above you is still working, you will most likely be stuck in your current position until the guy above you retires.
