Pros

I've grown so much in my time here. We have incredible access and relationships at some of the largest and most complex organizations in the world. Not every job gives a team 20- and 30-somethings the opportunity to advise C-level executives at Fortune 100 companies. With this level of influence, it's easy to have an outsized impact in the world. Every day, we change the lives of hundreds of thousands, if not millions of employees in our clients' organizations worldwide. The team is tremendous, and there's no person who I wouldn't be friends with outside of work. Good benefits, good perks, and a cool office.

Cons

You have to be self-directed, and finding your own path can be tricky at times. If you're not careful, work-life balance can quickly go away. Travel sometimes makes it hard to be present at home. Comp is lower than similar positions at top-tier consulting firms.

Pros

The most amazing and most consistent thing about the company over the 5+ years I’ve worked here is that it’s a place where incredibly smart and curious people come together to see if the famous Margaret Mead quote is really true - “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.” The company culture is fueled by an ambition to change the world for the better, and just enough naive optimism to believe that it’s possible. The result is that 1) nearly everyone you work with is a pleasure to be around, 2) you’ll feel like you’ve got a rocket booster on your career, and 3) you get access to incredible clients from day 1 (very senior, and very large-scale).

Cons

Because of the fast pace and the high-performance culture, Undercurrent can be a bit unforgiving. It’s a sink or swim kind of environment, which works great for people who thrive on that challenge, but can be a challenge for people who need more support.
