Avoid at All Cost - Anonymous employee Uncharted Power Employee Review

This was hands down the most toxic workplace environment I've ever experienced. The CEO was unethical and outright declared that she had no problem lying if it was for a good reason. This resulted in actively lying to people like donors of HUGE grants when Uncharted Play failed to deliver what they promised. CEO elected to send staff to Brazil for a month during the 2014 World Cup despite having next to no plan for the trip prerogatives and the undeniable truth that customers who had ordered products over a year ago still didn't have what they'd paid for. The products were made in the office, by interns and staff who often had no training in product development. The products, as a result, broke quickly (sometimes on the first kick out of the box.) They focused on creating "a culture of innovation" while actively failing to take the steps towards streamlining product creation and delivery. Management passed blame on anyone and everyone rather than accepting blame for failure to guide the team and provide necessary tools for success. Abusive communication style and badmouthing of employees to fellow staffers created a culture of distrust. I had customers calling my personal cell phone number up to six months after I left the company to complain that they still didn't have the product they'd ordered and no one from the current staff would return their emails or phone calls. The customer service provided prior to and after I left the company was abysmal and genuinely made me hurt for the customers with whom I'd developed a rapport who couldn't get anyone to accept responsibility for having taken their money and failing to deliver.
