Pros

This is a great place to make a difference and work with some incredibly talented people. Students have genuine respect and admiration for UWorld. Great office environment for those who are required to come to the office. Flexible hours and reasonable workload. DFW is a great place to live.

Cons

CEO is very anti-remote work even though many employees are remote. He doesn’t seem to understand we are more productive at home. Some employees asked to come to the office, but others are not. Long commutes on top of high gas prices doesn’t motivate employees. This company has a problem with office politics. Bad blood between employees is creating a very uncomfortable work atmosphere. In some cases there is pressure to “pick a side.” Gossip and intrigue is now common place. Senior leadership makes no effort to resolve tensions and prefers to stay out of/ignore it. Company sends out yearly surveys that carefully avoid asking questions about senior leadership’s performance. The company’s success relies on a handful of extremely high performers, many of whom are looking for opportunities elsewhere because of mistreatment. All of these problems = stress, poor mental health and high turnover.
