      UTHouston is located in the Texas medical center, the largest medical center in the world an is home to several prestigious research institutions and hospitals. the exposure to research and academia you will get is unparalleled by any other place. If you are in basic sciences or medical field, this is the place to be.

      Cons

      Great institution, but lacks visibility and recognition in terms of the work they do. Need some good public relations.

      No more job security for early career investigators due to recent budget constraints.
