Pros

Competitive benefits Good work life balance

Cons

With the recent restructuring of the compensation package for front line associates, U.S.Cellular has embarked on a road to an inevitable buyout by another carrier or going out of business. Commissions have been reduced by more than 50%, giving the current scenario, current top talent employees will apply else where. Due to benefits being similar but pay more significant. Also, existing customers will notice a decrease in customer service and satisfaction as current Retail Wireless consultants will push them out of the door for new lines or new business. Talking to other associates there seems to be zero motivation to sell plus more concern about apllying to other wireless providers due to compensation being the number one motivator for sales people. Simple business sense : How would you not pay your front line associates so they are satisfied to get the company more business. Its easy to keep current customers but more expensive to get new ones. This would probably be the last time they will show up in consumer reports as customer satisfaction will tank. Seems like they don't need Retail Wireless Consultants but order takers like McDonald's. How ironic is that.
