Pros
You can get to see a few potential serious employers while you work on-site
Cons
1) HR is highly deceptive 2) Doesn't mention the 26% tax rate for the first 6 months of employment in Malaysia. They do this on purpose so you wont renegotiate a higher salary per month. 3) Claims 1 year project but projects turns out to be just for a few months, thereafter you are sent back to India. You lose your house rental deposit, can't claim your 26% tax refunds from the govt. Total loss for the employee 3) Projects are of sub par quality, mostly menial tasks that client doesn't want to bother with. If you are trying to learn and improve this is not the place to be no matter the pay which isn't high either. 4) No training of any value, costly but good training by Professionals are always cancelled because UST doesn't want to invest. 5) Pay hikes are based on how close you are to your manager, meritocracy doesn't exist. 6) You will face a lot of trouble to bring your spouse/children over to Malaysia, company personal have little or no knowledge of procedures. UST Travel dept are more interested in giving you the back seat of a lorry to travel over to Malaysia from India. Given the unattractive pay + 26% tax rate you should have a very good package before considering bring over family. 7) Best advice I can give is don't join UST, less headaches that way.
