Pros
Pros --Not really much. I took the job because of the compensation, it was worth it for me. The training at USI entails watching pre-recorded training videos on how to use their systems. I was able to use their systems successfully bc those videos were helpful. However, that was the extent of it. No training on how to succeed in the job itself, no continuing education, very unsupportive team members and higher ups. Vacation time here is 15 days, which you dont even get to use because you are overloaded with work & deadlines. HR will advise you that you can carry over 5 days to the next year... come to find out, those days must be reaccrued. BS. This is the worst place I have ever worked.
Cons
Cons --Lack of resources in this particular office. I feel like the majority of employees here are discouraged and just show up for a paycheck. Management pushes us to use a third party company for certs and policy checking, but this 3rd party company is severely lacking. Employees end up having to handle certain items themselves and get crap from management about it. There is no training, your career growth will suffer. I came in as an assistant with 4 years experience and was looking to grow & move up. I never got that opportunity here after 2 years, I was instead stuck working under 3 AMs and 2 AEs on a total of 56 accounts. I worked so much overtime with zero appreciation. I attempted on doing more in my free time and was told to "stay in my lane". All I wanted was growth. My team was unsupportive and I could tell they did not care. I was able to find a better company and in 4 months at my new job, I feel so satisfied with the amount of learning and support that I desperately wanted at USI. If you are considering working here, or already work here... just know there are way better companies out there. The people in the Houston USI office simply do not care.
