Pros

There is a directive at the corporate leaves for inclusion and charity. Nothing for the local Houston office

Cons

Houston office (southwest region): Trainers are fantastic, but there is no weight placed on actually training employees. You are expected to dive in right away and often the training just falls off due to lack of time/interest. Nearly everyone is working - consistently - after hours (8p - 2a in some cases) on the daily, and working weekends. I know of no one that has ever been able to use all of their PTO. I'm talking about rolling 5 days, AND losing another week at minimum. This has been the trend for at least the 4 years I was there. It's literally beyond exhausting mentally and physically. There is exactly 1 female (white) in a level of management, and 1 (male) of color. It is known that males are hired with higher titles, with little to no experience, and/or promoted ahead of women with twice the credentials and experience where the women are asked to x, y, and z, whereas then men are not . I'm quite sure the salary matches. There is no attempt to further educate (CE) or train for promotions. We were basically expected to cram in all or most of our hours at the last minute with whatever we can find.

Pros

You get out of it what you put into it. Autonomy and responsibility if you are fluent in the principles of extreme ownership. Think of it like running your own business as an entrepreneur, with a deep well of resources at your fingertips to help you be successful. High upside if you are willing to put in the work! (and that doesn't mean 50 hour weeks or unmanageable workloads)

Cons

If you don't have an open mind, are closed off to learning new things, and don't have a "how can I help" mentality, this may not be the best fit for you. Pay (base salary) may be slightly lower than other consulting firms, but total rewards package in the aggregate is competitive, and high upside potential with career path opportunities.
