Pros

Good office location, beautiful building with many onsite conveniences, such as dry cleaning, coffee shops, and places to eat.

Cons

Saying K&P has office politics is an understatement. The only way to get ahead is to pawn your work off on others and spend your days sucking up to management. Those that work hard are passed over, while those that spend days in the office having long lunches, drinking after work, and gossiping are rewarded with raises and promotions. Yes, insurance is a sales industry, but the producers aren't going to be able to service those accounts and keep the clients happy without quality support staff. An AM, AA,. BS or EA shouldn't have to "play the game" but should be focusing on good service. Heaven forbid you are a parent (or - gasp - a single parent) and expect work/life balance. K&P is old school, and very good ole' boys in their thinking. Most of the producers and management have stay at home spouses or nannies, and can't relate, and don't really care, about those employees with fewer resources that need to be home before daycare closes, or have sick kids to care for. HR is a joke, they don't care about protecting the employees' rights, only with protecting the company from liability.

Pros

You get out of it what you put into it. Autonomy and responsibility if you are fluent in the principles of extreme ownership. Think of it like running your own business as an entrepreneur, with a deep well of resources at your fingertips to help you be successful. High upside if you are willing to put in the work! (and that doesn't mean 50 hour weeks or unmanageable workloads)

Cons

If you don't have an open mind, are closed off to learning new things, and don't have a "how can I help" mentality, this may not be the best fit for you. Pay (base salary) may be slightly lower than other consulting firms, but total rewards package in the aggregate is competitive, and high upside potential with career path opportunities.
