Your goals are clearly stated and you know what is expected of you. Also, you’re generally equipped with all the tools and resources necessary to successfully do your job. Depending upon your direct manager, he or she is very adept at recognizing your talent and providing opportunities for growth and personal development. Free lunches are plentiful also.
Cons
As a woman of color, the air is thin the higher you go in management. As in, there seems to be no representation of myself in upper management. Although holidays are, for the most part, recognized, Juneteenth has been nationally acknowledged however there was no mention of it by management. Neither was Kwanza or other minority celebrated holidays.
