Pros

Leadership at all levels is open to new ideas and is always looking for a better way to do things. They empower the workforce and have high expectations for a staff of professionals.

Cons

Since becoming an operational headquarters the task load has increased dramatically and none of the previous taskings have been deleted. This was coincident with several large manning reductions. Therefore, the current task load exceeds the level of manning capacity.

Pros

Important mission and great opportunities to travel and work in the AOR. Great fitness facility. Substantial compensation package. Secure location.

Cons

Entrenched civil servants, contractors, and self-righteous senior military officers who more often skirt the gray line of fraud and waste in government. A culture that is resistant to change and will eliminate by all means any dissension. An office environment full of senior and subordinates unwilling to accept new ideas. Harassment and inaction by senior managers to correct the problems. The pay does not compensate for the workload. Management is asked to continually do more with less. Many civilians should be immediately removed, but somehow skirted the process and received pay-grades well above their abilities. Discrimination is common at all levels. There is no support for training. Contractors (BAH specifically) who more often sit around on Facebook instead of actually working. Senior (Flag/General) Officers who are as competent as the Equifax Cybersecurity Managers. Civilians who take advantage of the travel to execute a lot of unnecessary travel. Parking sucks.
