Pros

When I first started with the company, people were very friendly. They would come up and introduce themselves, which I was quite impressed by. When the company reorganized and brought in new management and a slew of new people, the atmosphere changed for the worst. Salary is above average. Fun to work with chefs and learn about food trends.

Cons

New management created friction within the departments, causing good people with lots of experience to leave. Only 2 weeks of vacation time until year 7. No policy to work from home. If you live in Chicago, the commute (whether by train or car) is long and boring.

Pros

401k is good Benefits got more affordable

Cons

The biggest con is what must these big companies fail to focus on. Money. If to ask, even if you document measurable results ,that i spent a long time composing. You are told that other mechanics get the same or around the same pay. Then say no. Going the extra mile everyday, doesn't get you anything . Yes it's pay. We start a little better than market. But don't go up from there. Yes not right. Not we cannot get any overtime to make up for the lack of raise . It forces good mechanics out . Also they focus way to much on irrelevant things like dei etc .it should be the work you do not what you look like.
