Lost its Culture, Cutthroat - Buyer US Foods Employee Review

Pros

We are bussed to quarterly meetings where sometimes there are donuts, to hear if the company is doing well or more jobs will be lost.

Cons

Tied to your desk by deadlines all day. Have to check orders nights and weekends to see if you need to recover from trucks being late, product thrown away, or unexpected orders. You can be the best at your job but unless you are someone's favorite you will not be praised, promoted, or given inside help like easier areas to manage or a good word put in with local managers. Favoritism first, skills last.

Pros

401k is good Benefits got more affordable

Cons

The biggest con is what must these big companies fail to focus on. Money. If to ask, even if you document measurable results ,that i spent a long time composing. You are told that other mechanics get the same or around the same pay. Then say no. Going the extra mile everyday, doesn't get you anything . Yes it's pay. We start a little better than market. But don't go up from there. Yes not right. Not we cannot get any overtime to make up for the lack of raise . It forces good mechanics out . Also they focus way to much on irrelevant things like dei etc .it should be the work you do not what you look like.
