You can't beat the retirement and benefits. Earn lots of vacation time and get to see the world as well. Several options of jobs to cross train into if you don't care for your inital enlistment trade.
Cons
Promotions are usually based off of time in and grade instead of management abilities. Military tradition often outweighs common sense. Almost impossible to attend school.
