Very non-competitive working environment Creative ideas are sidelined For military officers compensation is not equal, for example you can work very hard and get rewarded by working more complex programs and that can net you double the amount of responsibility for the same amount of pay. In other words you can work very hard and get paid the same as someone who doesn't do anything--and you get promoted based on time not ability or worth.
