      Pros

      You get a sense of pride in protecting the US. The pay has greatly increased over the past few years and is very comparable to if not greater than civilian jobs.

      Cons

      Extreme work hours and non-standard work schedule. You will work more if in the operations side of the air force.

      Pros

      Laid back environment get your work done and you can coast.

      Cons

      Appraisals are off of the buddy system more often than not i.e. if you went to the same college as your supervisor you’ll likely get good scores if not good luck.

      Pros

      Getting 2.5days of accrued leave per month is nice, which adds up over time. You can request leave whenever within your schedule and it won't be denied.

      Cons

      Not too much structure when it comes to squadron training. Depends on your squadron but leadership can really determine your experience.
