Ok company to work - IT UR-Channel Broadcasting Employee Review

I worked for UR-Channel as an independent contractor starting 18 months ago, and have had an excellent personal experience from the perspective of the opportunities that were given to me to work on and what I was able to help create. In short, this is my type of company: amazing owner, creative environment, entrepreneurial, and ideal for highly motivated and self-starter type people. The CEO develops strategies and relationships, which he then allows his employees and contractors to execute, an environment in which I personally thrive, and truly appreciate. I am aware that a number of significantly under-performing employees recently left the company. I know first-hand that there were several unmotivated, entitled, and quite frankly, lazy individuals at the company who are now gone. No doubt in my mind that in this day and age, their response is to post negative reviews with personal attacks and deflect responsibility. My star rating would be higher, if not for the previous regime of executives, who have all since departed. I was continually frustrated by the lack of motivation and initiative, and the monotonous conference calls which essentially were meetings about having a meeting and talking about why things wouldn’t work instead of finding ways to get them done. With these individuals now out, I feel that this lack of productivity and movement will be out as well, and that the company has the opportunity to reach its full potential.

If you are a malcontented corporate drone with zero initiative, then this is not the company for you. I personally was responsible for auditing an invoice, in which I discovered tens of thousands of dollars in excessive mark-ups and waste. Happily, this money was refunded by the vendor when confronted. The previous executives of this company never flinched on this outlandish invoice. To me, this was the polar opposite of financial responsibility and due diligence.

Paychecks are consistent. Work is mindlessly easy.

No room for growth, professionally or personally.
