Pros
As has been stated on this site, many people at SuperValu are good, hardworking people. They tend to be the front-line employees.
Cons
A lot of the managers play office politics. Some of them do not have the computer know-how for their jobs. I knew one who barely knew Excel. Also, my current manager likes to delegate the stuff he should be doing to me despite what policy states, and despite the fact that I don't have a lot of time to do his job in addition to my own. It is hard to fire bad employees. You have to be written up three times to be fired, so a lot of people are in jobs that require detail orientation and are not detail-oriented. Then the rest of us have to fix their mistakes until they either quit or get written up. There are frequently unrealistic deadlines and not enough people do to the work. Sometimes managers go against the remote policy and forbid people from working at home, even if we could be more effective working from home. I would not at all be surprised if this company gets bought out in the next few years.
