Great opportunity for growth, but terrible pay/management - Anonymous employee UMRF Ventures Employee Review

Pros

Management does very well to schedule hours around your schedule. This company offers great opportunity to get a foot into IT, no matter what your major/field-of-study is in. Since little-to-no experience is needed to join, they just expect you to know how to pretty much type on a keyboard. You will learn everything else through time and experience.

Cons

Management (especially at the Level 1 FedEx help desk) seems to just ignore their problems. Actually, it would be better if they just ignored them. They actively try to fix their problems by putting into effect the stupidest and most backward policies that lead their agents to all want to quit. Pay isn't that great either, unless you are working under the System Analyst or InfoSec agent positions. If you don't work under those two positions, you can expect to start off at $13.80/hour, then move up to $15/hour after a 3-month eval. That is terrible for IT, when most companies start off at $16-$20/hour. The leadership doesn't make that great either. Shift leads start at ~$17 and supervisors start at ~$20/hour. This especially stings when you consider that you could work at this company for 3-4 years, become a supervisor, become loved by your agents, and STILL make less money per hour than a brand new agent at the System Analyst position. Training also sucks.
