Pros
- Top-notch culture - Genuine interest in everyone having fun and being happy - But at the same time, a serious focus on creating good things - Values alignment for me personally, as in caring about success but only if we get there the right way. - I've experienced some real growth, personally and professionally, while on the team. There's never ever been an attitude of zero-sum thinking when it comes to growth here. - I'm surrounded by people who are smarter than me in their fields, but who look to me for strengths in mine - An emphasis on work/life balance - Extremely nomad-friendly, but with clear expectations of "showing up" - I've lived in SE Asia, Central Asia, and now Central America while working for UMA - So long as I have internet, it's all good.
Cons
- Working purely remotely does present challenges. While I've met most of the team in person, never all at once. We have done several events together and will continue to, which is fun but takes a lot of effort - There is a lot going on and it can be stressful if you let it be - This is just web3 in general.
