Pros

Very old company with a rich history undergoing exciting changes - operationally and strategically. Function of company in society is critical. Keith Williams is a very respected and talented leader.

Cons

Although most companies are similar to some degree, it fells that growth & advancement (although possible) is limited to a very small community of employees & is dependent on relationships just as much as it is skill / know-how. To advance in this company, skill alone will not get you there. It will likely take long tenure & forming of key relationships...in addition to proven skill set.

Pros

UL solution was my first office job and engineering experience. It did not disappoint, and got me excited for my future, The HR and hiring team were all so nice and helpful throughout my internship. My managers were helpful, patient, and understanding when I had a family emergency near the end of my internship that forced me to leave the country temporary. The internship showed the various departments in the company, not just the one we had applied for. Would definitely recommend anyone to apply for them.

Cons

UL solutions is focused in certifications and safety, so if you are expecting projects involving development and design this is not the place, We had to do a breakdown on products and perform tests to ensure it meets standards of safety.

Pros

Strong brand reputation and credibility in the marketplace. Excellent opportunity to gain experience in sales, compliance, testing, certification, and regulatory industries. Friendly, knowledgeable, and collaborative colleagues who are willing to help each other succeed. Good work-life balance compared to many sales organizations. Stable business with diverse industries and customers. Professional development opportunities and exposure to complex customer challenges.

Cons

Typical large-company bureaucracy can slow decision-making and execution. Internal processes and approvals may require patience and persistence. Organizational complexity can sometimes create challenges when navigating cross-functional initiatives. Career progression may occasionally depend on understanding and adapting to corporate dynamics.
