Pros

Generous compensation and benefits for a company this size. Middle management extremely supportive and easy to work with. Friendly co-workers.

Cons

Management uses the fact that they server non-profits to justify the often overbearing and unreasonable behavior towards their employees. CEO is borderline abusive and likes to yell during closed door meetings. Absolute lack of empathy with regards to employees home lives. No work life balance; salaried employees expected to perform 50-60 hours per week minimum. Bonus structure unrealistic; no bonus if there's ever been a write-up. Poor communication from upper management; expect to be written up for issues you didn't know you had. While the PTO policy is unlimited, there is a significant number of hoops to jump through including finding coverage which is non-existent with the workforce stretched thinly. This does not keep the leadership team from taking multiple vacations. On-call is pitched as being once every 6 weeks, but in reality it's at least once per month. Expect to be yelled at if you miss a call at 3am.

Pros

Brief: Unlimited PTO, Flexible Work schedule, approachable management, Family Atmosphere Long: I made the switch to UIS Technology Partners after 16 years in the education field, and I was apprehensive to go work in a corporate environment. My fears were quickly squashed. I was surprised to find that my transition was smooth, and I felt support from all levels. We really value our experience as a team, and ultimately have come to view each other as family. Staff at all levels from admins to Senior management, genuinely care about me as a peer and family member. I came on board to be an Administrative Assistant, and worked my way up to Office Manager, Accounting, HR and finally found my niche in a combo role of all three. I would definitely recommend UIS to anyone looking for more than just a place to put in time and get a paycheck. If you want to feel a part of something bigger, a family, then this is the place to do it!

Cons

becoming so invested that you forget to stop working.
