Pros

- Benefits if you make it to five years with the company -Advancement opportunities if clinical - PTO can be significant if you make it to the 3 year mark (Improving up until 10 years service) - Pension plan (while it would be nearly less than social security) after 20 years. If you do make it 20 though, its likely the lost wages at another better paying company plus missed opportunity cost of investments would be lower than going elsewhere. -Flexibility great if lower level employee in rev cycle, not in clinics though.

Cons

- Updated comment, You can see the CEO came from UPMC and suddenly there are all these people in high level leadership positions from UPMC here. They might as well just change the name to UPMC of CO soon. This is no surprise as its in addition to the friends hiring friends issue i have seen across the board here. -Pay makes it difficult to live on wages. -No raises now because of COVID, and forcing us to all take a 20% reduction in hours the next two months, may be more in the future. - Every survey you will ever take will do nothing more but be used against you. They say its anonymous but it will still describe your location, age range, gender and position to your boss, who will then SUDDENLY dislike you after review of surveys. - Marketing team is very good at twisting the company in a certain light, which I will say the capabilities of their treatment plans are great, as a patient you will get excellent treatment. -For people trying to become something more, unless you're clinical, you are kind of worthless to the company. Non negotiable wages in promotions, people just hire their friends or next in line so you get stuck in whatever department you start in. Degrees are worthless unless of course its for a clinical position. I myself have to decided to simply leave healthcare after working with UCHealth, its just not what I thought healthcare would be. I expected low pay, I just didnt expect no options for growth and being targeted if you're hard working to just do everyone elses work. - Multiple times when an distressed employee was leaving, management "found" ways to make their last day, the day they put their notice in. Was even asked once how we would make someone leave because they are kind of inconvenient. Could never say anything because retribution is very real within the revenue cycle.

Pros

High Acuity patients Maintain Skillset Job security

Cons

Too many patients in a day and not enough time to spend with them. Minimal admin time to manage InBasket and patient needs. Frequently need to juggle a full and complex patient schedule with urgent test results and care coordination. Have to use personal PTO to cover holidays and any time the clinic is closed due to circumstances outside of our control. (weather, power outages, etc) Annual performance Bonuses are now being determined by online patient feedback scores.
