      A small community, friendly, they organize a lot of events to meet other people

      Cons

      Disorganized, the orientation doesn't cover important stuff such as retirement, health plans, etc. The administration and ISS are not competent.

      Great institution serving a diverse student population. Plenty of interesting research labs. Decent benefits.

      Cons

      Commuter school so traffic and parking can be terrible. Select your PI wisely, and ensure healthy work life balance.
