      The department is tight knit with a lot of collaboration and opportunities to finish exciting projects.

      Cons

      Just like any graduate student program, the pay is well below minimum wage especially when you factor in most graduate students work 6 days a week 8-10 hours a day.

      Great institution serving a diverse student population. Plenty of interesting research labs. Decent benefits.

      Cons

      Commuter school so traffic and parking can be terrible. Select your PI wisely, and ensure healthy work life balance.
