Pros
They offer a great health insurance plan and health facilities. Very supporting institution for you to succeed on your grad school program. Assistance on child care for grad students. The town is very good to live too.
Cons
Tuitions are expensive if you have to pay out of your pocket, although in science related fields graduate students (M.Sc. & Ph.D) usually have their tuitions paid from the project's budget. Difficult to get scholarships and grants. Rent & food is expensive in Davis. With a graduate student salary you can't save anything.
