Pros
Tyvak gave me an opportunity to work on incredible projects and programs. The pay was very generous, and the health benefits are completely covered. The programs are truly incredible. There is a good camaraderie between the teams, generally speaking, and everyone has a great respect for each other and what they do. I rarely had to work overtime and there was always enough interesting work to stay busy. You’re working on state of the art electronics with state of the art equipment, and you make a real difference in the company’s success. Although I never worked in aerospace before Tyvak, I would venture to say this is not a typical aerospace company (in a good way!). Tyvak is working on some truly exciting projects!
Cons
It should come as no surprise (based on other reviews) that the time management system is quite annoying. Again, not coming from aerospace, tracking my time to 15 minute intervals was foreign to me (I never had to do this before) and it would frequently cause me anxiety trying to keep track of my work this way. This is probably common in aerospace, though.
