Pros

- 40 hr week, never asked to do any overtime but I get the feeling that is just because we weren't close to release. That is basically the only plus. Started out quite enjoyable and gradually went downhill. From the start we never received sick pay, no bonuses, no pay reviews, bad pay and poor management but at least the team were fairly happy and the project was fun. Everyone's motivation and passion died as we had flexitime taken away, gradually lost our voice on the project and started getting spoken to extremely rudely and unprofessionally by higher ups.

Cons

- No sick pay . Spoken to appallingly by manager demanding to know symptoms despite not even being paid for it - Entirely aimless. No clear deadline, constantly being pushed back and deadlines pulled out of thin air with no regard to what the people who actually know how long they will take might say. -Constant unnecessarily rude attitude from higher ups which resulted in quieter people not feeling like they can speak up - Anti SCRUM, no standups, no meetings which results in the staff having no communication with each other and knowing very little about the game - No reward for working hard/ producing good work. Tends to just mean you will be given more work and responsibility but no actual reward for it. -Regularly paid late with no explanation

Pros

It payed the rent It filled my fridge

Cons

Management blatantly oblivious of any work ethics, I assume this odd train of thought is based on the premises it doesn't apply to a startup company. Two Nerds CEO knows nothing about ruling by example, with an appalling work attendency despite being in charge of critical executive responsibilities aggravated by a complete lack of very basics and minimal social skills. Direction is totally oblivious of any work regulation and employment contract. As far as I am concerned, Two Nerds was in breach of at least 2 major articles of my employment contract. In the course of 10 months working at TwoNerds, and out of 10 employees on site: 3 employees have been sacked without compensations 4 employees have resigned None of those have been replaced at the time I am writing these lines. Very little of the company intelligence involved in its last projects outlived their development: 70% of its personal being gone. Worst seat-cost I have ever seen in a video game company with workstations almost exclusively equiped with cracked softwares. On top of this, many employees often had to provide their own equipment to perform their duties in acceptable and healthy work conditions. Despite a management team far least experienced in the game industry than its crew, it keeps ignoring every single work suggestions, or warnings raised by the industry cadres recruited for their industry experience. This company and more to the point toxicity of its CEO is to be avoided at all costs.
