Pros

Fun environment, amazing co-workers, being able to work with VR. This is a great second job if you want somewhere fun to work and be on your feet.

Cons

There can be lack of communication between departments. Game attendants don’t have many growth opportunities. There’s not many benefits unless you’re a full time employee. The park doesn’t really have full time positions unless you’re in game tech, sales, or in management. Game attendants are mostly part timers so don’t expect to live off this wage, unless of course you have another job or source of income. You don’t really have a set schedule, and if it’s a slow day in the park, don’t expect to work your whole shift since there’s a possibility that your hours will be shortened.

Pros

Co workers, management and owners are all genuinely nice people who I enjoyed being around. Pretty good money most of the time. Great money from the end of November through the beginning of January. Flexible with time off requests. Laid back work environment.

Cons

Too many promos involving “free” drinks leading to people not leaving tips. (Nothing in life is free, but if they’re not physically exchanging money at the bar, people don’t think to pull money out to tip). It’s not the business fault that people don’t tip, but they could try and mitigate that issue better. Not enough advertising to try and get people in the door. This place is huge with lots of potential, but hasn’t done much to draw in a crowd since the pandemic.

Pros

Actual work is very fulfilling. You feel like you’re part of making communities and futures better. Always new locations and interesting projects.

Cons

Very disorganized. Frequent long stretches of no work. Bad communication. Over the past year the dress code has gotten a lot more restrictive. Used to feel more playful and fun.
