Pros

As far as a tutoring experience goes, this is the best you can ask for working for a service. Every interaction with administration, interviewers, and higher ups is always a positive, productive experience. They work to make sure you have more jobs than you can schedule, and are understanding any time a job has to be declined. They will support you through any difficulties that emerge and are timely in responding to any questions. It is clear that everyone cares not just about the image of the company, but those that are working for it as well. Truthfully, it has been the best employment experience I have had.

Cons

There is a fair amount of driving involved, as clients are spread over a wide area. However, you tailor and create your schedule, so you can turn down those clients who are too far away without any complaints from the company.

Pros

Being a tutor at TutorNerds offers long-term relationships with students, flexible scheduling, and consistent demand for in-demand subjects like math and science. The company handles administrative tasks, allowing tutors to focus on personalized teaching in a supportive environment. With TutorNerds’ strong reputation and diverse client base, tutors can enjoy stability and opportunities for growth.

Cons

Being a tutor at TutorNerds may come with the challenges of committing to weekly sessions, limited subject specialization, high performance expectations, reliance on the company for clients, and the need for frequent travel for in-home tutoring.

Pros

Flexibile, still get paid when they give a new client a free trial, they connect you to the client and do initial scheduling communications

Cons

You only get to keep about 50% or less of the money they charge the client even though they do almost nothing but charge the client after the first initial set up. No benefits, not an employee, don't get paid for travel time or gas
