Pros
They do a lot of traffic. They seem to spend a lot on ads and they match tutors with students very quickly. They also respond very quickly to email inquiries. On the rare occasion there has been an issue with a client, they've always upheld the full charge for the session.
Cons
Students are just...low quality. 9/10 students I've gotten from this service are rude, demanding, or unresponsive. They don't seem committed to tutoring. I will be told they're looking for three times a week, then when I talk to them, they only want three sessions for this upcoming exam and nothing else, or they want to pop up whenever they want without a care for your schedule.
Too, if a student contacts them about a problem, they will not tell the tutor about the problem. If they discontinue sessions for any reason, they just quietly remove the student from your job board. This is par for the course with any client issue; they're very bad about triangulating and seem to prefer to bury problems rather than communicate them. I've ended up in conversations with extremely confused clients who told me that TutorChase had told them they already spoke to me about an issue, and they had not. Or they had fired the company, and I was not told, so I emailed, wondering why they did not attend a session! Embarassing and unprofessional.
It all seems very money-oriented rather than results-oriented, which is not my style.
