Pros

A long term commitment to embracing diversity and inclusion while pushing efforts to improve on communication and culture. Ability to work from home full-time. So many benefits to make you feel generally thought of and looked after by the organisation.

Cons

There is no clear, structured growth or development plan. HR are very biased towards management-level employees when disputes or discrepancies occur. Communication leaves a lot to be desired - from line managers through to the CEO. I have ran into issues of bullying, discrimination, and what I can only describe as subtle, long term smear campaigns against me which have severely affected my wellbeing. All of which have occurred from a colleague level to a senior manager level. There is a hidden blacklisting policy that occurs within the structure; if you are not liked by one manager, you are not liked by any manager. Finances are a shambles. I have experienced issues with my salary pay outs almost on a monthly basis. Nothing is ever straightforward and deductions are never consistent month to month.

Pros

Turnitin’s mission is meaningful, and many employees genuinely care about supporting educators and students. There are thoughtful, hardworking colleagues across teams, and the remote flexibility is a plus. The products are strong and well-known in the edtech space. Pros: •Mission-driven work •Dedicated colleagues, most are really great •Remote flexibility

Cons

Cons: •Below-market compensation (especially in high-cost areas) •Constant, ongoing structural challenges •Raises lag inflation •Limited growth opportunities •Executive messaging feels disconnected from reality •Under-resourced teams •Organizational silos
