Direct service staff are dedicated and genuinely interested in helping clients succeed.
Cons
Abusive/manipulative/narcissistic bullies are supported by management at the expense of dedicated, honest frontline staff. Management talks a good game but it's ALL talk. You are expected to work through lunches, take no breaks, work OT without pay, falsify reports and keep your mouth shut. Program managers routinely pit staff/clients against each other, retaliate against those speak up about unreasonable expectations and create hostile work/treatment environments for staff/clients.
