Pros

Fairly average work - life balance

Cons

Management doesn't give a hoot about your skills and performance. They had 4 (!) rounds of layoffs in less than 2 years. No proper reason for the layoffs, except "restructuring". They hire so-called pros from big companies like Facebook and Meta to head different functions but these people do nothing. Looks like all they're good for is commanding huge paychecks to the point where there's nothing left for the hardworking folks on the lower rung of the corporate ladder. Oh, and they like to fire people via Zoom webinars, so there's no opportunity for you to voice your protests or even ask questions. The managers - except for 2 or 3 - are completely useless and don't even bother to know what their team is up to or how they're doing. Trust me, this company isn't going to last for 5 years. All big talk and nothing else.

Pros

-the pay is average, not on the low end of tech -remote work -your peers are incredibly smart

Cons

-incredibly toxic work environment -changing goal posts for metrics -being yelled at is the norm and HR does not care -friends of friends and special treatment: many outliers who have ins with VPs or above who do little to no work (one in particular decided they wanted to be an instagram influencer and posted non-stop during work hours) yet their counterparts who did their work for them got laid off -more yelling: at least one weekly meeting where you just turn your mic down and disassociate while team members have a power struggle and waste time -zero upward trajectory in the company
