Pros
Nice, helpful people. Sometimes a relaxed work environment. Good IT infrastructure.
Cons
Poor pay 5k-10k less than market average. Ineffectual HR. Rather seek replacements then retain existing staff. No plan for young ambitious staff seeking to progress through the company. Management tend to not listen to qualified members of staff and therefore sometimes have unrealistic expectations of project time and capability. No real benefits for staff. Understaffed and management insist on taking more work on even when there is nobody to do it. New staff working a 40hr week as opposed to 37hrs for existing staff. No pay rises (actually minor pay cut in my time here). Sections of the company are constantly at ends with each other (ie: engineering Vs production). No values or culture to speak of. Location is in the middle of a trading estate meaning you are nearly restricted to site as there's little point going elsewhere. No paid overtime for engineers (excepting commissioning engineers).
